When we talk about the environment, we don't just talk about pretty landscapes (even if we love that at Wooper!). The environment is the fauna and flora , biodiversity , and even our future as a human species (just that!).
World Environment Day ( WED) is an opportunity to reflect on our role in protecting our dear Earth. At Wooper, we take this role to heart, and we can't wait to share our eco-responsible commitments and actions .
Wooper and its commitment to the environment
At Wooper, we have a passion for nature as great as that for creating jewelry and we are committed to protecting it for future generations. This commitment is reflected in each of our creations.
Word from the creators
Our story begins after observing the impact of man on our planet during our travels or hikes. So we decided to act on our scale and with our ideas, not by becoming superheroes (even if we all dream about it a little), but by creating Wooper, a brand of customizable jewelry created from a noble, durable and eco-responsible material: wood.
Since 2020, Laura, Damien's companion (who is writing this article), has joined him in this crazy adventure, bringing new ideas and managing orders like a chef, she has become the partner without whom none of this would be possible. would be possible!
Ethical manufacturing & a noble material
At Wooper, we have chosen ethical and local production. For our creations, the clips are made of recycled PET or stainless steel.
Our pieces are designed from Swiss wood, coming from a local carpentry in Valais and as far as possible recycled from unusable sections for carpentry. No trees were specifically cut down to create our wooden jewellery.
Quality, authenticity, eco-responsibility
Our wooden jewelry is designed, designed, manufactured and sent from our workshop by Laura and/or Damien. We make it our mission to limit our carbon footprint as much as possible, from design to shipping. Because doing good for the planet doesn't stop at the workshop door!
Wooper's concrete actions for the planet
Talking about ecology and the environment is one thing, but at Wooper we prefer to act. We have thus implemented concrete actions to protect our beautiful nature by rallying to various environmental or animal causes that are important to us. Helping through our creations gives them even more meaning.
Partnership with Summit Foundation
Concerned about the environmental cause, we have chosen to get involved with Summit Foundation, a local NGO that works to protect the environment in the mountains.
For each jewel purchased, Wooper donates 2 CHF to Summit Foundation, in concrete terms, it is the equivalent of 100m² cleaned in the mountains as part of the Clean Up Tour days organized to clean the summits in the spring once the ski season is over. By offering yourself a wooden jewel at Wooper, you are therefore making a strong gesture for our planet.

Support for La Bouche qui rit, an animal shelter
Our commitments do not stop at protecting the environment. We also love our animal friends and we decided to support them.
For any animal tag purchased, children's bracelet or essential oil diffuser, Wooper donates 2 Chf to the La Bouche qui rit animal shelter. Thanks to this gesture, a rabbit, for example, can feast on its daily hay for 10 days. Cool isn't it?
It was important to us to help them in our own way in the rescue and maintenance of these little furry and feathered souls because we also saw the passion and perseverance of the owners of this refuge. A real dedication that touched us.
One jewel, one action: The "Tree of Life" bracelet
Buying the "Tree of Life" bracelet is not only an act of purchase, it is also an act of contribution to an ecological project. For each "Tree of Life" bracelet sold, you contribute to the planting of trees in French-speaking Switzerland thanks to our partnership with Almighty Tree.
